Business Manager - 3 months - Bristol - £19.35 per hour

My Bristol based, public sector client are currently looking to recruit a Business Manager for an initial 3 month contract paying an hourly rate of £19.35, with a view to extension.

The Business manager will work as part of a dynamic team delivering an effective procurement to the clients customers by supporting senior stakeholders as well as other members of the team as necessary; this will include:

- Manage the Team's business support function, including developing and managing the team's business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management.
- Assist the Director and Associate Directors with the team objectives.
- Will support the Associate Directors of procurement and their team to ensure that their work stream or programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery
- Review the time allocated to each task against actual to provide regular updates to the Director and Associate Directors.
- Create and provide business proposals for existing and new customers.
- Oversight and management of all aspects of the Team budgets
- Manage all corporate business returns, including planning and are view of the teams workforce returns

You will also have responsibility for the following;

- To contribute to performance improvement, taking a lead for identified areas where agreed.
- To provide relevant and timely specialist advice and guidance on own portfolio of projects/function
- To present information and issues, explaining highly complex issues, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- To work with members of the Team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions.
- To assist with the management of a risk and issues tracking mechanism and its proactive resolution and escalation processes.
- To provide regular reporting on the targeting of resources and monitoring their implementation from a value for money perspective.
- To provide oversight and monitoring of all aspects of Team budgets
- To evaluate projects/function within identified portfolio for delivery against financial recovery/savings plans through providing sophisticated, high quality project analysis.
- To devise and provide improvements to current management information, analysing, reporting and suggesting procedures to enhance decision making processes.
- To ensure timely and accurate information analysis and reporting to the Director and Associate Directors on agreed areas of work.
- To contribute to the development of key performance indicators for the successful assessment of individual and workstream success.
