Business Intelligence Solutions Business Analyst

Great opportunity to join my client, a large multinational corporation on an exciting new data warehousing project. The business analyst will work with business leaders to understand requirements, converge multiple existing processes and define the optimal BI solutions. BI Solutions will include end-end use of infomation across multiple stakeholders incorporating such components as dashboards, reports and analytics in to a cohesive solution.

- You will work with the business to define the business process changes required to implement Business Intelligence solutions.
- Own the BRD process, on the BRD score card deliverable
- Assist the business in assessing the data requirements of the solution
- Own the identification of the correct system of record
- Assist the business in assessing the data quality of the required data
- Document the functional specifications of the BI solutions
- Assist the business in creating report layouts which effectively support decision making

To be considered for this role you will need the following:

- Experience in Business Intelligence solutions development
- Blend of technical and business knwledge. Must excel at connecting business requirements to Business Intelligence solutions and to measurable business benefit
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Experience wiht relational database technology eg Oracle, Teradata, DB2, Informix or Sybase
- Experience with Caliber
- Experience with Datawarehouse design and architecture
- Demonstrated competence wtih reporting and analytic tools such as Hyperion, Business Objects, Cognos PowerPlay, Microstrategy, Oracle/Oracle Express, Microsoft Analysis Services, SPSS or SAS
- Experience with ETL tools - (Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio)
