Business Intelligence/Service Management (ITIL/BOXI/Oracle/SQL)

The contract is with a large consultancy to be on an assignment at a large EEC site in Brussels as follows:- The tasks that are to be performed include:

Create new reports to cover specific customer business needs. Maintain/optimise reports and reporting templates.

Provision of technical assistance to other team members.

Identification of the estimation and risks related to the applications' planning, design and implementation.

Participate in incident, problem, change and release management of the Service Management Tool environment.

Collaborate in Service Management Tool (SMT) quality assessment.

Knowledge and Skills

- Ability to lead small multi-disciplined teams.
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings.
- Ability to write technical oriented documents.
- Very good knowledge in business process analysis, business process modelling, user requirements analysis.
- Proven experience with ITIL procedures.
- Certified in ITIL V3 Foundation.
- Business knowledge of HP Service Manager. Knowledge of XML.
- Very good knowledge of Oracle database management systems, Oracle-based web applications and Oracle 11g.
- Very good experience with BOXI 3.x/4 Suite (Desktop intelligence, Designer, Rich client, scheduler, publisher, CMC)
- Experience in the design and implementation of Business Objects Universes and in the design, implementation, generation and publication of reports.
- Knowledge and experience with other BI tools like SAS, Cognos, PowerBuilder is considered an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL, Oracle PL/SQL is a must.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visual Basic (VB), HTML and MySQL is considered an asset.

Long-term Experience within a European Institution or another European Body and understanding of the European Commission's structure is desirable.
