One of our very prestigious clients is looking for a BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE QUALITY ASSURANCE/INTERVIEWER in Brussels.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- KEY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments.
- DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: Author and execute end-to-end test plans for Enterprise Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions from SQL Back End to User Interface to ensure the delivered solutions comply with applicable quality standards and perform as expected
- UAT SUPPORT: Support the business owner for User Acceptance Testing (or act as his delegate if applicable)
- DELIVERY MODEL: Integrate with an Agile Scrum team Effectively communicate with the rest of the Scrum team (Product Owner, Developer, and Business Analyst, peers).
- COMMUNICATION:
- Indicate performed and upcoming activities as well as known impediment/issues.
- Express issues in a clear, consistent and understandable manner (written, verbal).
- Ensure direct communication over email/ticketing chain to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- QUALITY EVANGELIST ROLE
- Effectively advocate and disseminate Quality Assurance best practices in the team.
- Share enthusiasm about QA Testing methods, toolsets and test automation.
- Teach other software development trades quality assurance best practices to allow test driven development (unit testing or other).
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong SQL querying (Oracle Certification a plus).
- One general-purpose programming/Scripting language
- Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform (Cognos, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Delivery Model
- Tool: Agile collaboration suite (Rally >, JIRA or equivalent)
- Experience integrating in a Scrum driven development team

LANGUAGES
- English fluent: written and verbal
- Abilities to deal within a multicultural and distributed environment (ability to communicate effectively in a conference call setting).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent
- +8 year's experience in Software Quality Assurance preferably on Business Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehousing projects
