BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE OFFICER - RESEARCH

£.32 PER DAY LTD

FULL TIME 35 HOURS PER WEEK

SOUTHEND ON SEA, ESSEX

TEMPORARY CONTRACT UNTIL MARCH 2014

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Officer to lead on the department's performance management and provide monitoring, survey, research, data and information services to the Strategic Transport and Planning Policies team.

ABOUT YOU

Experience using statistic packages and geographic information systems to map socio-economic data and information for analysis (ArcMap GIS), and to assist in the preparation of reports and maps containing statistical and geographical information is essential.

The ability to maintain and develop relevant monitoring systems which will contribute towards the Southend Annual Monitoring Report and other documents.

To carry out site visits, survey, research, and data collection and analysis as may be required to assist the formulation, monitoring and review of an up-to-date and relevant statutory development plan for the Borough, and all relevant planning policies, proposals, strategies and action plans

Highly organised, you'll have the ability to handle a multitude of varied tasks using your own initiative and be happy working in a busy environment. You'll be able to work well as part of a team along with a positive and flexible 'can-do' approach to your work/duties'

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE ALSO NEEDED:

- Ability to analyse complex data and disseminate into a usable format
- Advanced' knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel
- Experience of performance management techniques - including analysis of performance and knowledge of performance management frameworks/systems
