Business Intelligence Engineer

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ENGINEER SEATTLE, WA 5 MONTH CONTRACT

Our hugely popular client is seeking an analytical and technically skilled BI Engineer to work in a data-driven culture that demands Business Intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will engage with an experienced staff to conceive, design and go live with innovative BI products to support internal BI needs. If you are excited about the opportunity to develop a BI project from concept through implementation and are a subject matter expert on BI dashboards, this is the role for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for leading development of BI solutions including gathering business requirements, working with business owners to understand their business processes and designing BI solutions to meet business needs. This includes designing and implementing a dashboard using in-house reporting tools, modelling metadata, and building reports in Oracle.

The desired candidate will also perform the following activities as on-going support: continue process improvement, troubleshoot system and process issues, maintain training materials and deliver end user training.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors degree in CS or related technical field
- 5+ years development experience with notable BI reporting tools (Oracle OBIEE preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL, Linux and OLA
- Results-oriented
- Experience with dashboard tools
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
