Senior BI Developer

Responsibilities:

·         Work as part of a focussed team to deliver key features on the analytics and reporting modules using the Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite

·         Data modelling based on business requirements, and optimisation of data models for business intelligence implementations

·         Define and advise on the on-going architecture of the compensation consulting portfolio solutions and the technology used

·         Ensure with the programme managers that the technical solution delivers the business value

·         Advising on the maintenance and monitoring of existing SQL Server Business Intelligence implementations

·         Communication with technical and business staff in technical and plain English language

·         Development of business requirements in collaboration with business analysts

·         Documentation of all work carried out, e.g. data models, configurations, and setup

 

Qualifications/Skills:

·         Solid development experience in a team environment with enterprise projects from inception through to delivery

·         Logical and physical database design

·         Expert level in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cube development, MDX Scripting, MDX Querying

·         SQL Server 2005/2008 RDBMS database development including T-SQL programming

·         ETL implementation using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

·         SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports on SSAS data sources

·         Demonstrated complex problem solving skills

·         Thinking strategically from client&rsquos perspective to design and deploy effective solutions

·         Advocate for and experience with agile development
