BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & DATA LAKE ARCHITECT

Business Intelligence & Data Lake Architect consultant is needed for a long-term project based in Amsterdam, for a leading Dutch banking client.

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

- Designing and enhancing the functional aspects of the Data Lake Foundation and Group Services BI environment
- Giving Architectural guidance to the Center of Excellence in Rumania
- Guiding the implementation of the data lakes and driving the migration roadmaps in the different countries
- Responsible for all architectural aspects of the Group Services data lake and BI platform
- You will chair the Design Authority for Data Lakes
- You will participate in the management team for convergence as lead architect
- You will participate in the steering committee DL as lead architect
- You will participate CoE management team as lead architect
- You will participate in the monthly meetings with IBM
- You are accountable for all technical architectural documentation and make sure these are up to date

WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

- Expert knowledge on DWH/BI concepts and challenges
- Expert knowledge on ETL framework concepts and Data Model concepts
- Complete knowledge of the Data Lake concepts
- Expert knowledge on IBM Data Stage & IGC v 11.5
- Knowledge of BDW
- Knowledge of Cognos and Power BI
- An innovative mind set to come up with new features in the area of data lakes
- Experience in implementing DWH in large international organisations, cross border
- Ability to work closely with the architects of the different countries and other domains
- Ability to create conceptual models and translate these into logical building blocks and eventually in implementable solutions
- Ability to combine conceptual thinking with a pragmatic approach
- The ability to steer and coach development teams
- Excellent communication skills (English is mandatory)
- Experience with an agile way of working

EXPERIENCE:

- Worked in Enterprise context
- Design & build hands-on in IIS tooling
- Build DWH's end-to-end, taking into account the different responsibilities of departments in an enterprise, eg infra, development, business, architects
- Datamodelling
- Experience as IT architect (5 years)
