Business Intelligence Consultant (SQL Server)

For a potentially long term contract positon, we are looking to place a BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CONSULTANT into a role in Valencia, Spain.

Working as part of an international organisation you will deliver on-going projects implementation and support for the Business Intelligence group. This is an English speaking role and offers an opportunity to join a globally recognised organisation, as well as the chance to live and work in a fantastic European location.

As a BI consultant you will:

- Participate to the project specification and software design phases
- Implement the ETL processes
- Implement Dashboard Applications
- Participate to the reporting implementation
- Ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements
- Responsible for meeting development schedules
- Help and support the project manager in the daily operational facets
- Perform other duties as required

The successful Business Intelligence candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

- Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014
- Data analysis and modelling
- Database Scripting (T-SQL, stored procedures, etc.)
- Microsoft Business Intelligence modules covering Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Master Data Services
- SQL Server administration and development
- Excel PowerPivot
- Scripting in C# and PowerShell 3.0
- .Net application development skills
- Experience with Service Management tools (ticketing systems)
- ITIL Service Management
- Prince2 Project Management
- Excellent English language skills; Spanish skills are a bonus.
- The ability to live and work in Spain
- Microsoft SQL Server and BI certifications are highly desirable.

This is a competitive process and the client can start someone on site by 1st December, although 1st January is also possible.
