Business Intelligence Consultant (Microsoft BI) - Leeds

This position will be responsible for supporting the design, build, and maintenance of my clients business intelligence (BI) reporting solution. Specifically, requirements of this role include consulting with clients on their business needs, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interfacing with the clients and other team members to build custom BI solutions. The successful candidate will have proven ability to analyse and troubleshoot issues that arise within the BI toolset and the enterprise infrastructure supporting these applications.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 3 years experience with relational data models, in a data mining/analytical capacity.
- Advanced experience with MS SQL/SQL Server 2005, 2008 and Microsoft BI required (BI stack-SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
- Must have in-depth knowledge of accepted best practices for data mining, data mart development, dimensions and analytics.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Meticulous, with analytical strength and attention to detail.
- Advanced trouble-shooting techniques and able to document processes and maintain confidentiality and integrity of data.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Willing to support and assist members across all development initiatives.
- Knowledge of business functions to work independently and communicate effectively with other employees in both technical and non-technical roles (e.g. Business Analysts, Developers and QA team).
- Team player seeking to achieve continued enhancement and improvement of operating results. Able to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities, adapting to changes quickly.
- Able to work effectively with outside contractors. Able to learn new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly.
