BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE CONSULTANT (ETL, BI, COGNOS, DEVELOPER, DEVELOPMENT)

For our client in Apeldoorn we are looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant. The client is a dynamic organization that provides education and knowledge at a high level, which anticipates social developments and this can translate into education tailor-made. The client collaborates with various partners in the field of safety and education. For this role our client is looking for a flexible, articulate and experienced Software Engineer/BI Consultant for a self-directed team.

For this assignment, it is important that you have experience with multiple medium migration projects. This should clearly be reflected in the CV. Experience with Business Intelligence concepts/methods, for example dimensional modelling is a wish.

The department of Information and Change Management (ICM) comprising the elements Webmanagement (consisting of software development teams and business intelligence), Information Systems & Operations (consisting of teams Functional Management, Application Management, Technical Management, Helpdesk) and Projects & Architecture ( with services such as project management, business and information architecture, information analysis).

FUNCTION

- Within the Department of Information and Change Management (ICM), we are looking for a Business Intelligence Consultant who will work in the team BI.
- The BI team provides the client in its information.
- As a member of this team, you are jointly responsible for managing and developing information products.
- The client is on the verge of a merger, this transition requires the BI team flexibility to engage in migration projects.

GOAL

- The management and development of the data warehouse and BI environment.

TASKS

- Application and Technical Management of the data warehouse and BI environment.
- Monitor and improve production runs (Back End).
- Analysis Information needs from the business.
- Thinking from a customer perspective.
- Information needs to translate and process data models.
- Thorough ETL processes design/make.
- Reports specify/design in consultation with users.
- Analyze complex queries/make in T-SQL (Microsoft) (in particular knowledge of select, subqueries, functions).
- Issues HINTS Cognos BI and Cognos reports tracing Back End, analyze and solve.
- User organization representatives and colleagues from the ICM department.

WORK EXPERIENCE

- EIS: Minimum 3 years experience as a BI Developer/ETL developer, with the aid of at least 2 years Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (version 2008R2 or 2012).
- EIS: Minimum 2 years experience with Cognos BI 10.
- EIS: Has experience in designing and programming complex SQL queries
- Knowledge of T-SQL
- Experience with MS SQL Management Studio (database query tool)
- Experience with Business Intelligence concepts/methods, for example dimensional modelling.
- Experience and knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in Security Domain is an advantage.
- Experience in Education Domain is a plus.
- Experience with multiple medium migration projects is a wish and must clearly show the candidate's resume.
