Business Intelligence Consultant/Data Engineer

We are searching for a data engineer. This is for an interesting, challenging client of us based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The contract position is for about 6 months with the possibility to extend.

PROJECT DESCRPTION

In this project you will work within a fully automated reporting environment next to onboarding new sources and delivering on reporting requests. The environment is a green field with a lot of interesting technological challenges. You will use user stories related to onboarding new sources, new fields and building reports. You will also work on maintaining and developing the SQL data warehouse. Implementing PowerBI or building and maintaining the ESB could also be challenging project for you.

YOUR PROFILE

- Bachelor/Master degree
- Min. 5 years experience as a Business Intelligence consultant/develop
- STRONG ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND YOU ARE ABLE TO STRUCTURE THOUGHTS, CODE AND WORK
- MIN. 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE WITH SQL QUERIES AND SCRIPTING, MICROSOFT BI (SQL SERVER 2008 AND HIGHER) OR OTHER ETL TOOLING & EXPERIENCE WITH DATAMODELLING, EG KIMBALL, INMON, LINSTEDT
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power Bi, Business Objects etc.
- Experience with other Scripting languages like Python, R, C#.
- Experience with Azure or Amazon is preferred.
