Our client is a world-recognized financial organization and the leader on the Dutch investment market. They are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer/Engineer with experience in Microstrategy (D3 Visualizations) and databases (SQL, Teradata, Hadoop, NoSQL).

The position is within the Business Intelligence team. This team enables the BI users in the organization to make their BI more mature and professional. Currently the focus lies on the MicroStrategy platform which will evolve into a broader scope.

For this specific job we are looking for a techno-functional expert that understands the MicroStrategy platform and the infrastructure which it runs on. You should be able to initiate platform upgrades, know how to set up connections to other platforms (for example Hadoop and NoSQL), have experience with implementing security features (for example Kerberos) and can test and implement new features within the MicroStrategy platform (for example D3 visualizations).

The team consists of around 6-8 other development engineers, with various backgrounds and expertise's.

As a successful BI Developer/Engineer you will:

- Upgrade the MicroStrategy platform to a new version, investigate impact, determine approach and collaborate with Application and Infr support for execution.
- Set up connections to other platforms (for example Hadoop and NoSQL).
- Do technical and functional testing and implementation of new features within the MicroStrategy platform (for example D3 visualizations).
- Design and implement security features within MicroStrategy and it's connected platforms (for example Kerberos).
- Automate the deployment of MicroStrategy objects by packages, to eliminate manual steps in promoting objects to higher environments.
- Migrate the MicroStrategy environment from dedicated hardware to our internal dedicated cloud solution.

Your profile as a BI Developer/Engineer is:

- You have strong experience in MicroStrategy platform developments.
- You have knowledge and/or education on Bachelor level in the area ot IT, Information Studies, Software engineering or a related discipline.
- You have knowledge of Systemmanager, Objectmanager and Healthcentre.
- You possess strong communication and collaboration skills.
- You have Basic knowledge of databases such as SQL, Teradata, Hadoop and NoSQL.
