Business Intelligence Analysts

A BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST is required, with at least 5+ years' experience in the design and development of Business Intelligence solutions using Cognos (or similar BI application) and the development of efficient SQL queries using Teradata (or similar Datawarehouse environment).

The successful candidates will utilise their skills and experience to:

1. Gather, analyse and document business requirements

- Undertake requirements gathering with stakeholders
- Develop functional design documentation

2. Design Business Intelligence solutions

- Consider available technologies and develop appropriate solution architecture for Business Intelligence solution
- Develop an appropriate information design

3. Develop and test Business Intelligence solutions using Cognos, Teradata and SAS technologies

- Develop complex OLAP cubes (often with multiple data sources) using Cognos Transformer
- Develop efficient SQL queries within Teradata
- Develop multi-dimensional reports and dashboards using Cognos 8/10
- Design, implement and document testing strategies, as part of the governance and assurance process.

The contract is scheduled to commence MID TO LATE APRIL TO 28 JUNE 2013. The successful Candidate needs to hold an In-Confidence Security Clearance (minimum - Baseline/Protected clearance is preferred) or be able to acquire one in a timeframe that would not prove detrimental to the Projects.

PLEASE NOTE - the rate for this role is up to $100 per hour depending on experience.
