Business Intelligence Analyst

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION ANALYST

LOCATION: LONDON

CONTRACT: 3 MONTHS +

RATE: £TBC

A Business Intelligence Information Analyst is required for a 3 Month contract for a CCG within the NHS in South East England.

You will be expected to deliver an effective and high quality business intelligence service to facilitate planning and strategic decision making in commissioning health services for the CCG.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- NHS Experience (Commissioning or Acute)
- Advanced MS Excel skills including: Spread sheet design and development, creating pivot tables and complex formulas
- Highly proficient in use of MS Access, Word and Power Point
- Advanced analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and produce meaningful Business Intelligence reports
- Experience in the use of database extraction tools to develop complex queries, in particular Microsoft SQL
- Experience of secondary care datasets (e.g. ICD, OPCS, NHS Data Dictionary, etc.)
- Experience of using Business Intelligence Software

THE ROLE ITSELF

- Provide specialist skills and knowledge in relation to management of national and local data sets
- Implement and development of local systems and processes for delivering information
- Support the Senior Business Analyst and Head of Performance and wider CCG teams in the following work areas amongst others:
- Statutory Returns
- Performance monitoring
- Health service development & planning
- Local commissioned services monitoring
- Benchmarking
