Projektbeschreibung
The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a large European site in central Brussels as follows:- The organisation concerned is responsible for creating and maintaining IT systems for managing human resources at the European Commission, they now wish to obtain the service of a Business Intelligence Analyst to work on an integrated information system for the management of human resources in the European Commission.
Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:
- Design and development of online analytical data processing (OLAP); Creation and maintenance of a data warehouse; Gathering business requirements; Development of data mining solutions; ETL processes; Datamodelling; Design and development of reporting applications;Physical DB design; DB performance analysis; Elaboration of test programs; Writing of technical documentation; Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system; Participation in meetings with the project teams.
Knowledge and skills:- - In-depth knowledge of data warehouse design In-depth knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse; In depth knowledge of SQL; In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools; Good knowledge of ETL tools; Good knowledge of modelling tools; Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools; Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following nontechnical skills:
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
- Ability to understand, speak and write French and English
Specific Skills
- Minimum a total of 6 years of experience in one or more of the following: OLAP, data mining tools, Business Intelligence reporting tools (eg Business Objects) or ETL tools (eg BODS).
- In depth knowledge of BO SDK (preferably on several projects) and BO Security model (would be an advantage)
- Very good knowledge of Oracle Database Design and PL/SQL
