Business Intelligence Administrator

A client of our in Belgium are looking to hire a talented Business intelligence administrator on a contract basis. The office is based in Brussels. The client wants the BI Administrator to take ownership of the reporting platforms and take responsibility for supporting the platform. The BI administrator will be involved win end to end Cognos administration to set up the clients new Cognos 11 Platform.

Responsibilities:

- Be platform owner of the clients offering towards their internal and external customer
- Act as platform support, working with different teams when necessary.
- conduct performance checks
- Define and set up security frameworks by using on board technology to meet requested security levels.
- design data modules for customers.
- Provide technical expertise on supported solutions.
- incident management
- work with the agile scrum team by effectively communicating and providing updates on activities.

Technical skill/experience requirements.

- Expert IBM Cognos Administration skills. Experience/ability to configure Cognos v11 in a complex distribution environment.
- 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting complex solutions in a multi node environment
- Experienced monitoring platform health and performance (mmc, solar-winds etc)
- Excellent system administration skills.
- Networking experience ( TCP/IP, Load balancing, SSL, routing, Firewall)
- Middle ware installation and configuration experience.
- OS-level Administration knowledge (Linux/windows)
- User provisioning technologies
- Scripting experience
- Nice to have Configuration integration and configuration management experience
- Cognos SDK experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
