Context
Our customer will start projects in the contexts of
(a) field inspection and
(b) legal evolution of the authorization aspects of the belgian law.
Therefore we are actively looking for a mixed business/functional analyst (BFA) being able to capture and structure business requirements and to produce all analysis artefacts that will be integral part of the delivered products. This is the scope of this demand.
Responsibility
The responsibilities of the BFA are:
To understand, detail and translate business needs to functional requirements and product features,
To actively participate to the discussions with the business to elaborate the new solution,
To provide the top-down and bottom-up traceability between business needs, requirements and product features,
To perform those activities in close collaboration with the project leader and development team during the different stages of the ICT Fluxys project life cycle,
To ensure that all solutions proposals are discussed with, and approved by the ICT Architecture Office that takes care of the vision and coherence of our applications landscape,
To respect and follow all Fluxys templates and artefacts standards.
To respect priorities and timing of the projects' plans.
To always balance choices made against added value for Fluxys,
Technical skills
We are requiring solid knowledge of:
Unified Modelling Language (UML),
Processes description techniques like Role Activity Diagrams, BPMN...
Requirements gathering techniques (knowledge of Agile Software Development `user stories' requirements elicitation technique is a real plus)
Requirement sizing estimation techniques,
Analysis methodology while Fluxys ICT has its own standards the BA will have to adhere to,
Microsoft Office suite.
We are also considering knowledge of:
Testing concepts and practices.
Technical Architecture practices, UML tool Enterprise Architect
Project management practices including agile ones (Scrum is used)
Soft skills
We are demanding following soft skills:
Active listening aptitudes,
Ability to adapt its communication, vocabulary and used artefacts depending on the target audience,
Oral communication and presentation skills,
Able to write structured and well-formed documents,
Team spirit,
Openness of mind,
Solution orientation,
Ownership and responsibility,
Assertiveness.
Commitment to deliver within time and budget
Experience
At least we ask for proven 4 of the 8 latest years of effective responsibility and achieved results in analysis.
Languages
Fluent speaking/writing in Dutch/French,
Good English knowledge.
