Who we're looking for
Do you have previous industry or advisory/consulting experience of business ethics or compliance? Our Business Ethics Risk & Remediation team are looking for a Manager with experience across a range of industry sectors to join their high performing team focused on providing business ethics and compliance advice for our clients. 

The role requires an enthusiasm for designing, developing and delivering enhanced business ethics and compliance frameworks, an awareness of regulatory and prosecutorial guidelines on compliance and ethical culture (e.g. FCA, SFO, DoJ) and legislation (e.g. UKBA, FCPA), and an ability to communicate in a logical, articulate and confident manner. Previous ethics, compliance, risk and controls background either within industry, consulting or related industries, knowledge and experience in key financial crime risks (e.g. fraud, bribery and corruption and anti-money laundering) would be highly beneficial.

About the role

Our team works with a wide variety of FTSE 100 clients. We advise clients on all aspects of building, sustaining or repairing a sustainable and practical ethics and compliance programme. Our team is growing and our success can be attributed to the way that we combine behavioural science research, our knowledge of regulatory expectations and investigation experience, and personal experience of regulatory compliance programmes. As our team expands, we have a vacant position for a Manager.

We work with clients either on a crisis or proactive basis to review the effectiveness of their ethics and compliance programme and develop a risk-based route map for the design and development of a good practice ethics and compliance framework and/or to remediate those aspects of the existing framework that are exposing them to the greatest compliance risk.

Our work typically includes the design, development and delivery of:

Compliance governance and organisational structures
Codes of Conduct
Compliance risk based policies and procedures (e.g. conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, bribery and corruption)
Training, engagement, and communications strategies
Risk assessments
Monitoring and reporting procedures
Whistleblowing mechanisms and case management
Investigation processes

Requirements

Essential

ACA/ACCA qualified or with a 2:1 degree (or equivalent).
An articulate and confident communicator, both orally and written.
Commercial and analytical aptitude.
The ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines.
Experience in leading teams to deliver areas of work or leading work streams on change initiatives/projects.
Experience in coaching junior team members.
An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively.
A track record of providing and seeking meaningful feedback to help self and others improve and develop.
Ability to take advantage of new opportunities for learning, sharing new knowledge being intellectually agile and able to think creatively and deploy new knowledge and skills in a client environment.
Ability to promptly address problems and maintain professional standards.
Some knowledge and experience of the design, development and delivery of elements of an ethics and compliance framework in an organisational context either on a crisis or a proactive basis.

Desirable

Evidence of presenting and explaining findings in a clear and concise manner.
Evidence of and/or potential to develop advisory/consulting/ investigatory skills.
Evidence of analysis and review of large volumes of data as part of an investigation.
