Business Engineer

for a 12-month contract

Overview

We are looking for a business engineer for exciting new upcoming initiatives around the topics advisory process, robo-advice, investment planning and portfolio optimization. Our global platform in the portfolio advisory and monitoring area is a key part of the banks advisory process.Key Responsibilities

Identify and analyze business requirements (data sources, interfaces, business logic and processes) and work directly with business stakeholders, project managers, developers and other business customer to define the business requirements, objectives and specifications.

Active involvement in solution finding within the project (close collaboration with business and IT and other customers/stakeholders)

Support development team on application design, logic, architecture and testing

Document business requirements and specifications as per firm standardsEssentials Skills and Qualifications:

- Fast, precise and structured thinker.
- Good communication skills (written and verbally)
- 7+ years of experience in a business analyst/business engineer role in the financial industry.
- Experienced with the standard requirements elaboration and documentation techniques
- Ability to think in models as well as practical skills in using UML.
- In depth banking know how (processes and financial products) - Portfolio management
- Familiar with agile working methodologies. Ability to manage an Agile team of 6 -9 persons
- Team player with self-motivated can-do mindset
- Fluent in English

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- In depth portfolio management know how. (CFA/AZEK big plus)
- Understands the common financial products
- Basic Technical skills highly desired (SQL, read and understand Java code, solid understanding of modern software engineering and architecture principles)
- German language highly desired
