For our banking client we are currently looking for a Business Analyst:

Duration: 6 months + extensions
Location: Zurich
Our Murex IT Team based in Zurich is looking for an experienced SENIOR MUREX BUSINESS ANALYST AND TESTER.
A challenging position for a senior business analyst with the desire to drive the analysis and testing aspects Front to Back of the Murex OTC Platform and a variety of projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key tasks and competences are:
- Main responsibility to translate and specify business requirements into technical specifications on a complex platform covering Murex integration Front to Back (Accounting Interfaces, Reporting, Payments and Settlements)
- Assist the Murex Functional Architects to initiate, plan and implement the platform simplification and the Business/IT Strategy
- Support new business functionality, eg regulatory changes, on-boarding new Asset Classes, Central Clearing of trades etc.
- Down- and Upstream integration of the platform, including additional instruments, events, feeds and reconciliations based on business need
- Contribute and support the BA/Testers during the test phases and manage accurate defect reports where necessary
- A team player who is delivery focused and has the motivation to support others and share information and knowledge
- Close collaboration and cooperation with Business, Project-Managers, Developers, Suppliers and the Support
- Dynamic, pro-active, self-motivated mentality and ability to work without close supervision
- Conduct functional walkthroughs with business users and other IT teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or higher education in Information Technology and/or Business/Economics or equivalent
- Good knowledge in the life cycle of OTC Products and general Business/Banking know-how and many years of practical experience
- 10+ years of experience writing business requirements and functional specifications plus experience of working with the Murex application
- Knowledge of trading, financial accounting and Back Office systems in international banking environment
- IT background and experience with iterative incremental development styles is an advantage
- Strong communication skills and good language skills in English
- Drive for high quality to achieve common goal
- Language skills in German is a plus
