Business Engineer

For our international client from Noord Brabant, the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Business Engineer with process experience.

Business activity: Product & Process

Are you a team player that likes to have a leading role in solving industrialization challenges in a complex, high tech manufacturing environment? Do you enjoy taking the holistic view of things, seeing all the components of an activity as one, then you could enjoy great success as a business engineer of Cross-sector Structural Improvements (CSI in short). Your role is to participate in a cross-sector, multidisciplinary team towards structural improvements on product and/or process level. By doing this you will improve availability, reduce factory cycle time and lower total cost of our machines.

In the position of business engineer you take responsibility:

- Initiating and supporting improvements in the execution of the Product Generation Process, related to industrialization.
- Executing and improving control processes, aiming to optimize the overall use of all engineering resources

Job Description

- Participate and carry out improvement projects.
- Delivers quality information or processes to facilitate PGP and Non-PGP product & process improvements
- Contribute to IE means & methods.
- Manage the process of capacity resource planning including time-writing (medium/long term).
- Support and coach other Business Engineers.
- Act as a sounding board and sparring partner for IE Directors and Managers within department.
- Facilitate performance management process.

Educational Level

- Bachelor or Master in Industrial Engineering or Technical Business Administration. More than 4 years' experience in business processes.

Experience

- At least 4 years of practical Industrialization experience.
- Knowledge of complex production (control) processes, preferably in a high tech, low volume environment.
- Experience with change management within (production-) organizations.

Personal skills

- Self-assured, pro-active, enterprising.
- Team player, good social skills, customer-oriented
- Discreet, independent and showing initiative.
- Capable to enter into basics behind customer requirements

Consultancy skills

- Excellent communicative skills, including presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of both written and spoken Dutch and English.

Context of the position

The sector Industrial Engineering aims to increase product and process robustness within the company by providing strong support in projects for new product introduction, being responsible for the technical management of suppliers, and by managing industrial competencies and structural issue resolution.

Within IE the department Cross-Sector Structural Improvement (CSI) supports Technical and Business projects and processes. IE-CSI aims at known product and process failures/variances, cross-platform and cross-part and solves these by identify common root causes, define and drive solutions and close the learning loop.

The holder of this position reports to the manager of IE CSI Analytic Engineering.
