The Dell Associates programme brings together a community of professional IT contractors who work on Dell assisted projects throughout the UK and Europe. Our opportunities range from one-time deployment roles to multi-year on-site engagements and are ideal for contractors who want to build on their experience across a wide range of IT products with the flexibility of project by project opportunities.

We have an requirement for a professional Project Manager to start on the August 8, 2012 and will be based in Cheshire for an initial 3-6 month contract based on-site with one of Dell's key customers.

In line with the required skills and responsibilities the pay rate for this role is fixed at £250 per day.

Key Responsibilities:
Set-up introduction meetings with Business Champions to run through Champions R&R and Business Engagement model
Maintenance of the Business Engagement model across all engaged areas.
Key liaison back into the programme regarding business unit knowledge, user requirements and rationale for specific user characteristics.
Preparation of deployment sequence with business unit
Detailed user discovery and data collection
Data analysis of user requirements
Demand challenge of detailed user demand (critical to allow successful deployment)
Preparation with Comms team of user community for deployment
Management of user experience during and post-deployment including monitoring of deployment issues and resolution (with PM)
Provide support to Business Champions, Tech Office and Business Project Managers
Provide/request User data per team from Business Champions
Provide HR User data if possible for Champion to verify per team
Create weekly meeting with Champion (frequency of meetings to be agreed with Champion)
Confirm/Arrange for Fusion communications with Data Discovery Tool (DDT) to be sent to baselined users per team
Run DDT report on responders after agreed timeframe with business and report back to Champion for chaser if necessary
Run final DDT report per team and review applications
Create apps template of all applications requested by team and availability under Fusion is possible (this will give the champion an view of any version changes that may be happening as part of Fusion rollout)
Send application list to Champion for review with any queries eg Technical contract or different name for app in their business (to be returned in timeframe agreed on PM's plan)
Reviewed/confirmed application list to be sent in correct format to Application Assessment Team (all in timeframe in PM's plan)
Demand challenge process on both hardware/software per user/team.

Business area specific constraints or considerations eg Finance cannot deploy at month end
