Business Development Manager - RLG (Scottish Life)

Projektbeschreibung

The main purpose of the Business Development Manager is to promote the Scottish Life proposition to the IFA audience in conjunction with Sales via technical seminars, written articles and promotional material.

KEY CONTRIBUTION AREAS

PROMOTION AND DELIVERY OF SLP MESSAGES

- To create and deliver appropriate presentation material and written articles within the SL promotional message
- To act as an SLP spokesperson on proposition matters and contribute to Press/PR activity as appropriate
- To form direct relationships with Polhill and trade press journalists as appropriate
- To work closely with Sales management to support diamond and network accounts
- To form direct relationships as appropriate with key individuals within diamond and network accounts
- To support product launches and marketing initiatives by presentations and articles
- To promote main Marketing messages to SL branches
- To provide staff training as required

STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT

- To develop and maintain an understanding of target IFA and policyholders needs through extensive interaction with IFAs and Sales consultants
- To keep up to date with legislative and market issues via liaison with external clients, reading and attendance at industry events
- To identify key opportunities for Scottish Life arising from legislative and regulatory changes
- To communicate relevant issues to Marketing management and CPT
- To represent the Scottish Life view within relevant industry forums

PROPOSITION DEVELOPMENT

- Provide feedback from the field to the Marketing proposition groups with a view to improving our offering (in line with our TCF requirements)
- Keep the Marketing development teams up to date on the potential impact of legislative/regulatory/market developments to our proposition
- Support internal and external market testing

GENERAL

- Create and deliver proposition based marketing support presentations/workshops etc where required
- Identify knowledge gaps/requirements amongst the sales consultants and suggest solutions to Sales training/Marketing management
- Maintain contact with Sales management

Please note this role will require extensive travel 3/2 nights a week.
