This Australian industry major player is recognised as an Australian Government endorsed supplier with a long history in defence based solution provisions. The organisation is experiencing strong demand for its services and as such requires the services of a skilled and talented Business Development Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This company is seeking to engage a skilled BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER who will be responsible for developing, expanding and generating new business opportunities. As the key BDM, you will identify and develop relationships with key Government decision making stakeholders - namely in the defence industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Produce detailed annual Business and Sales plans:- Identifying targets, budgets, priorities & opportunities
- Develop solid Sales pipeline with sufficient volume to ensure longterm viability
- Build productive working relationships with government departments and commercial service providers
- Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the company and its sales pipeline

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Minimum 10 years defence experience + ADF security clearance
- Solid understanding of Defence organisation structure, procurement process & current projects
- Strong negotiator, effective personal networking strengths, results orientated
