Business Development Manager - Bid & Tender management - Strategic Sales - 3 months initial Contract

My client is urgently seeking a contract Business Development manager to support their Head of Strategic Development and Bid Managers. The successful Business Development manager will assist with Bid and tender opportunities and market analysis activity to develop, communicate and implement a targeted business development strategy. You will also contribute to the development and winning of strategic opportunities within the Education Sector with central and local government clients.

Skills and Experience Required:

A Demonstrable background of Business Development/Strategic sales and Bid
Experience of Bid/Tender management
Proven experience of engaging with public sector bodies at director and senior officer level
Excellent understanding of the cultural affinity for Schools sector and Education
Experience of market analysis and strategy development
Commercially and financially astute, able to assess risks and negotiate mutually beneficial commercial arrangements
Ability to understand complex solutions and present them in a clear and concise manner
Ideally Educated to Degree level, Appropriate professional qualifications
Strategic insight, understanding the market and developing an effective strategy
Bid Management qualifications desirable
Skilled application of SPIN® or similar sales techniques
Leadership and management qualifications desirable
Secure contracts for strategic opportunities
Seek and develop major strategic opportunities that reach procurement
Establish and manage a robust pipeline to achieve strategic growth targets
