The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager (BDM) role is to secure new business for our recruitment company. As part of our team you will drive a targeted approach for the development of new business opportunities. Looking for new business and locating new multi-vacancy opportunities you will be responsible for selling services ensuring we become a trusted partner in the local area for recruitment. We are looking for an experienced Recruitment professional with a proven track record.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Cold calling and contacting local employers to source appropriate, managed vacancies
- Promoting our recruitment services and solutions to prospective clients via telephone, meetings, networking events and other channels
- Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation
- Building long-term relationships with contacts within defined target organisations and maintaining relationships with prospective clients ensuring that revenue is maximised from speculative opportunities over time
- Crafting proposals and tender responses
- Managing and reporting on the business development
- Working with us to develop proposals, provide CV's as appropriate after first level vetting, speaking to both clients and potential candidates on needs and objectives
- Working with employers, influencing and designing effective recruitment processes

ABOUT YOU:

The role will require you to be a motivated self-starter along with strong listening and presentation skills. You will need a strong intellect, high levels of integrity combined with exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written.

YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD INCLUDE:

- Proven track record in recruitment ideally gained within a similar fast paced service sector environment
- A strong track record of winning new business
- Experience of working at a senior level with clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish credibility quickly with clients in various sectors
- Solid background in prospecting, qualifying leads and converting into new business opportunities
- Ability to maintain, evaluate and generate new business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Previous experience in working in a target driven environment (preferably recruitment)
- Ability to network effectively and maximise business development opportunities.
- Good presentation and networking skills
- Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Self-motivated and can work proactively independently or as part of a team
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong work ethic
- Have own mobile working infrastructure
