Business Development Manager

A new exciting role has now become available within a leading UK manufacturer for sub contract sheet metal work that supplies into a diverse market sector such as Contract furniture, Automotive, Enclosures, Medical equipment, Leisure and Lighting but not limited to.

Working with a high degree of autonomy, the BDM would be expected as the role developed, to take responsibility for the recruitment and managing of sales staff and to set their targets aligned to the company's expectation for growth.

Ideally holding a recognised qualification in engineering, the BDM should be familiar with the manufacturing processes employed by the company, but must also have held a senior sales position previously within a similar or comparable industry. Liaising with operations and technical staff, the BDM would be expected to generate and qualify sales leads and be involved in the analysis and costing of the proposal.
