Business Developer

This is a 12 week work placement available via the GO Wales scheme for graduates in Wales.

ISSET designs and delivers educational programmes and activities in the UK, the United States and India with Space, Science and Maths as central themes.

As Business Developer, working closely with the Director, you will play a key role in a 12 week placement project which represents a specific new initiative for the company to build up business through gaining new customers.

The ideal candidate will be a confident and effective communicator, a self-starter who enjoys meeting new people and networking.
Your activities will entail communicating new developments to prospective clients and follow-up new business opportunities, setting-up meetings, planning and preparing presentation with the aim of establishing new business and maintaining working relationships.
You'll be involved in development of new marketing literature/materials, web and multimedia. You'll also establish social network opportunities and manage social media channels.

You'll administer accounts, providing market feedback and writing reports.
You'll work with large groups of varying age and backgrounds.

With a relevant degree, you must be a self-motivated and confident communicator with written, verbal and telephone skills to a high standard.
Negotiation skills, persuasiveness and confidence presenting to large groups.

Organisation and Time Management will be key.

Desirable Requirements :

Interest in social media and ability to manage social media channels.
Enjoy networking and meeting new people with the ability to write well and to a high standard.
Knowledge of html, publishing or design packages could be an advantage.

Expected Outcomes :

The research and development of a bank of potential new clients to build up new business as a result of this specific project.
A body of market feedback and reports with findings and recommendations.
