My client a large government body is looking for an experienced Business/Design Assurance analyst to support the Assurance of the design activity for a large/complex programme of work as it passes through agile development. The post holder will provide analytical support to determine progress and confirmation of alignment with strategic and policy intent and defined service design objectives. Public Sector experience would be beneficial however candidates from other sectors will be considered. The post is based in Sheffield for 6 months.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for:
* Ensuring data capture, data entry, data auditing, creation of reports and monitoring all data for accuracy and chasing completion of data and other Action Point submissions from stakeholders.
* Capturing data from various sources, undertaking routine data capture, manipulation and dissemination in support of existing Design Assurance meetings.
* Importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modelling data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision purposes.
* Tasks include "Data Cleansing" (rooting out erroneous data) "Initial Analysis" (assesses the quality of the data) "Main Data Analysis" (determines the meaning of the data) and "Final Analysis" (provides additional screening).
* Draws together the inputs from Assurance Points and other artefacts to produce a consolidated assurance picture.
* Reporting statistical findings to their co-workers, management and sometimes directly to senior stakeholders.
* To prepare and present notes, reports and bulletins of information. Present findings in layman terms stakeholders will understand. Develop simple graphs, tables, charts and other presentational material to elucidate how the information will influence the programme.
* Relay data to their supervisors and co-workers and use repeatable techniques and MS Office Software to reflect progress and potential future trends in support of ad-hoc and standing management or stakeholder requests.
* To provide advice on the capture and analysis of information, interpretation of data, and reporting of results. Includes building or designing data input or data collection screens. Coach co-workers in the techniques used to deliver sufficient skills transfer so that analysis and reporting can be repeated.
* To be skilled in the use of the full range of MS Office software and Rational IBM Tools.
* To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.

Skills/Experience Required
* Proven experience in analysing, manipulating and/or
* Experience of translating policy, business and system requirements and providing traceability to delivered IT design.
* Understanding of project management tools and techniques and reporting methods within a Business Change life cycle.
* Proven abilities in the advanced use of MS Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint), together with IBM Rational software experience.

Evaluation Criteria
* Proven project experience
* Proven data interpretation experience, including relevant software experience (MS Office and IBM Rational)
* Evidence of good communications skills, drafting etc
* Evidence of stakeholder/relationship management
* Evidence of dealing with competing priorities
