Business/Data Analyst - Investment Bank - Finance - Data Mapping

PTS's Client a Leading Investment Bank who has an office based in Edinburgh are seeking a Business/Data Analyst to serve all areas of investment management and fund accounting operations. To analyse complex business requirements and provide solutions for operating models and implementation options. 

They would be responsible for the acquisition, analysis and dissemination of subject matter knowledge. To conduct detailed business analysis involving complex requirements and processes and to be able to present results to a client. Be responsible for providing solutions to optimize operating models and conduct research on industry and other benchmarking data where appropriate. The ability to develop position statements on complex subject matter questions and to collate and prepare weekly management information statistics.

Bachelors Degree in finance, business, technology or equivalent is required, along with a broad and in-depth understanding of the Financial Services industry are required. An understanding of standards, methodologies, processes, systems and technology necessary to support Financial Services operations and experience of writing business specifications and data mapping. Finally, good analytical and consultative interviewing skills with strong writing, communication and presentation skills and VISIO skills are preferred.

Ideally the candidate would have prior knowledge of the Trade Operations market along with some generic knowledge of the securities and investment market, particularly the role of each key player (Investment Manager, Custodian, and Broker etc.).
