A Multinational Financial Services giant seek an experienced BUSINESS DATA ANALYST.
- Do you have experience within ASSET MANAGEMENT?
- Do you have experience with GAP ANALYSIS, between requirements and existing processes and data?
- Do you have experience with EXCEL and SQL?
- Do you want to progress your career with a Multinational, in the area of Business Analysis?
This will be based in their state of the art, Dublin City HQ. Initial 6 month contract, this is very likely be extended beyond the initial term. Contractor friendly environment await you. You will be required for the data stream of a business critical process improvement project. You will be expected to participate in defining the data requirement for a particular project, perform gap analysis on the existing data store against this requirement, and help to define the operational processes needed to deliver a solution. This will require you to develop an intimate knowledge of the data needs and issues faced.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Produce data requirement specification documentation.
- Perform a gap analysis between requirements and existing processes and data.
- Design appropriate solutions and operational processes.
- Ensure that solutions are fully implemented, handed over and accepted, always complying with the company's Data Governance principles.
COMPETENCIES
- Good knowledge of the Asset Management business.
- Strong technical skills (including MS Excel) as well as a working knowledge of SQL and an understanding of the IT development process.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Customer service and results orientated, with a ability to deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Proven ability to develop concepts and transform them into practical solutions in support of business needs.
- Strong communication skills, dealing with the business and IT.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the Asset Management Industry, business analysis, preferably in Risk, Performance Measurement, Data Management or IT development.
- Experience of performing data gap analyses.
- Previous experience of Data Governance components such as data definition, data ownership and data quality is a bonus.
This company can facilitate an immediate start. However, they are happy to accommodate a notice period where necessary.
