PROJECT MANAGER

WORK DESCRIPTION

The Continuous Operation team is responsible for ensuring the continuity of the IT services upon which the business of the client is relying. Within the activities of the team, one objective is to assess, test and document the Disaster Recovery solution in place collaborating with the relevant resources in each area.

The Disaster Recovery consultant, under the supervision of the Disaster Recovery Manager, will have the following main responsibilities:

- Coordinate the activities and ensure a smooth and efficient communication within the Disaster Recovery team
- Report weekly on the latest status of the relevant activities for each IT area involved (eg Network, Mainframe, Storage, Unix and VMware/Linux/Windows, Application)
- Assist when needed the execution of the technical tests
- Draft recovery procedures and test documents
- Draft the Disaster Recovery Plan and processes
- Assist the execution of the end user tests for the certification of the tests according to the initial business requirements (RTOs and RPOs).

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

- English working language, skills in French and German are desirable but not required, at least
- 10 years experience in IT (of which 5 years on Disaster Recovery projects).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED

- Very good understanding and experience of Business Impact analysis activities within the context of Disaster Recovery
- Very good knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies and strategies and skills on related implementation common problems
- Good knowledge of data synchronous and asynchronous replications products (HUR, XRC)
- Very good knowledge of Mainframe zOS/zLinux, VMware, Windows and Linux operating systems, Network architecture, Storage infrastructure and Database with regards to Disaster Recovery
- Strong project management background
- Very good knowledge of test methodologies and related good practices.

PERSONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

- Ability to work within a team and under own responsibility
- Ability to work closely with developers, end users and senior management
- Have strong communication and structured thinking including good oral and written communication skills.

ADVANTAGEOUS

- ITIL, CBCP, CISSP, Prince 2 certifications
