Business Continuity Consultant

My client is UK leading financial Services Organization based in the North of England. They are currently in the market for a Business Continuity consultant to join the Risk Team. To contribute to the formulation, development, co-ordination, implementation and maintenance of policies and startegies, for business continuity management throughout the group, supporting the Group BC Managers responsibility of ensuring an effective Business Continuity Management Framework is Embedded across the whole organization. Provide support and guidance to all business areas as a subject matter expert thorough out all Business Continuity Management Lifecycle activities in line with the Business Continuity management Policy. Ensure the BCM Arrangements are exercised and tested providing assurance that the business is resilient and can effectively respond to business interruptions.

Key Responsibilities:
Degree Qualification
BCI Qualified
Demonstratable Experience in Business Continuity preferably as a Manager
Knowledge and experience of the BCM
Competencies as detailed within BS25999
Knowledge and application of industry best practice, ie BS25999 and the GPG 2010 Civil Contingencies Act and category 1 & 2 responders
Knowledge of Regulatory guidelines in particular SYSC
Excellent communication skills both written and oral, with personnel of all levels
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to support the business out of normal hours
Presentation/Facilitation skills
Awareness & some understanding of IT infrastructures.
