Business Consultant (Scientific) Intermediate Job

BUSINESS CONSULTANT (SCIENTIFIC) INTERMEDIATE needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in CREVE COEUR, MO.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems.
- Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements.
- Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
- Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
- This position will be responsible for the execution of the solution delivery for the Seed (Genetics, Seed Physiology, Seed Health, and QMS) and Crop Protection Quality groups.
- Development of program logic for new applications or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and implementation/maintenance of software applications.
- The candidate will be responsible for: analysis of requirements (requirement peer review) and the integration of application components.
- Drive requirement gathering sessions to define and develop project milestones.
- Document requirements - both process diagram workflows and data flow documentation.
- Collaboration with the business to understand the business values of the new projects requested for delivery.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor of Science
- Minimum of three years of relevant IT experience
- Highly skilled in the creation of business process maps from a user interface and data flow perspective
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstration of building strong business relationships and influencing capabilities at all levels of an organization
- Ability to see the connections/opportunities in business areas (ambiguous areas)
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in the use of database (data analysis leveraging SQL)
- LIMS application configuration experience
- Domain knowledge in lab work/processes

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Knowledge in Lab Information Systems
- Work experience in scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry, or related)
- Experience with VB/VBA, .Net, Java
- Exposure to agile software development
