Business Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
- Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors degree in area of specialty and at least 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- 5-10 years of marketing experience.
- Previous experience with utility marketing, providing client service, writing and editing copy, and agency management.
- Understanding of media buying and ability to comfortably manage a large budget including management of accruals and invoices.
- Experience with marketing collateral.
- Experience with managing marketing campaigns.
- Experience with Internet marketing.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Background in providing client service, energy efficiency marketing, previous experience writing or creating marketing materials for energy efficiency equipment and services.
- We may also ask this person to work on a fairly large segmentation project, so experience with segmentation projects would be a plus.
