ABOUT THE JOB:

Smart Manufacturing (Smart M) Programme Summary:
Smart Manufacturing is robust global standard work processes enabled by enterprise-wide technologies and tools to drive operational excellence and improve decision support capability in order to accelerate the journey to sustainable top quartile performance. Smart Manufacturing's initial focus is Proactive Technical Monitoring (PTM).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Change management aspects of site deployment plans for manufacturing locations in EU and AP including implementation of work processes, proactive technical monitoring plans and IT/engineering tools.
- Conduct site readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
- Provide change management services to support manufacturing (refinery) site change and implementation teams, site leadership and line managers, engineering process owners and other key stakeholders affected by various Smart M projects.
- Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan and engagement/training plan. 
- Ensure that "lessons learned" during a site implementation are effectively captured and shared appropriately globally.
- Assist site in localizing Smart M business benefits case and making sure benefits are well understood, well communicated, captured and reported.
- Work closely with sites to determine change management requirements, including change impact assessment, leader mobilization, stakeholder analysis and engagement, communications and training needs. 
- Identify key change agents in affected areas and facilitate, support and monitor their execution of change plans.
- Build networks, communities of practice, focal points and work groups within refinery sites, across global sites and amongst process and equipment engineers to foster collaborative ways of working, drive sustainable change and create venue to share lessons learned and best practices.
- Identify types of network groups and appropriate members, recommended meeting format and frequency.
- Create and lead network of Site Change and Implementation Leads.
- Serve as an active and visible coach to site executives and leaders who are change sponsors.
- Facilitate site engagements both on-site and virtually.
- Connect regularly with Implementation Change Managers within the programme to ensure alignment of priorities and schedules.
- Work in Tandem with Development Training Lead in creation of training programs and materials required to prepare sites for Smart M. Training Lead defines approach and method and works with Implementation Change Managers to support rollout. Meet with appropriate site personnel to determine training needs for specific roles and locations and schedule applicable training or recommend creation of courses as appropriate.
- Conducts virtual/distance learning sessions in designated region.
- Maintain site engagement calendar, on-site visits, training offerings, etc.
- Collaborate with Development Team Communications Specialist that serves as Programme Communications Focal Point for all communications, including schedule, vehicles and final approval/distribution of materials (newsletters, FAQs, etc.) to ensure common and consistent approach to messaging, look and feel as well as track how often and which stakeholders are being touched with various communications.
- Develop, adapt and execute integrated communications plans (includes messages, schedule, events, channels, audiences, metrics, etc.) to address business priorities and operational challenges.
- Create communications materials that maximize line leadership and employee engagement and minimize resistance at all organizational levels and across manufacturing sites by clearly articulating the programme's business value and plans.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- This position deals with business change management, not IT release/change management. Progressive experience in business roles where change management is a vital component including people, process, and technology change.
- Direct experience with organizational change efforts with solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
- Capable of working independently or in a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent active listening skills and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in ability to identify inefficiencies in any process and make recommendations for improvement.
- Highly developed MS Office Suite skills especially Word, PowerPoint with strong working knowledge/experience with MS SharePoint a plus.
- Virtual working skills: ability to build trust and collaboration in virtual environment and assist others in doing the same.
