Business Case Writer; London; 4 Month; £375 - £500/day

My client, a leading Public Sector organisation, is seeking to recruit a Business Case Writer to join their team onsite in London. As Business Case Writer, you will work across a number of projects and will be responsible for the development of business cases and the embedding of best practice in business case writing. The ideal candidate will be able to provide hands on support to project teams and be adept at communicating complex analytical information.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Identify, develop and embed best practice in business case writing (including agreeing a template with finance team) ensuring all business case documentation is fully compliant with internal policy and procedures.
*Produce an overarching business case development strategy and business case submission timetable.
*Work with project teams to ensure that robust and credible business cases are produced in accordance with the business case submission timetable.
*Provide hands-on support to project teams in producing business case development plans and ensure compliance with the business case development strategy.
*Develop a single view of all business cases in production or anticipated within the organisation that can be effectively reported at project, programme and main board level.
*Develop business cases often to tight deadlines, engaging with relevant stakeholders to provide project objectives, benefits, cost analysis, projected timescales and associated risks.
*Conduct master classes in business case production and develop an up-skilling strategy for the improvement of business cases produced within the organisation.
*Mentor and develop project managers and project staff in the production of business cases.
*Line management responsibility for a benefits manager to ensure that appropriate means of measurement are put in place so that benefits realisation is planned and executed.

Key Knowledge and Skills
*Ability to write clearly and concisely
*Adept at communicating complex analytical information according to the needs of the audience-up to Board level
*Experience of working in a public sector organisation
