Business Architect - Retail Banking - Cheadle

I am currently looking for a Business Architect for a retail banking role based in Cheadle.

Key Accountabilities:

- Provide executive insight: Engages with key stakeholders on the programme/project to influence the proposition development to meet business goals, scope, strategy and the target operating model requirements and provides consultancy on complex business issues to identify root causes, solution options and implications, working with both business, Architecture and IT colleagues.
- Shape and align change programmes: Engages with stakeholders to understand and challenge business objectives of programme or project, translating these into scope statements, and potential change initiatives, presenting a coherent case for the proposed change and map the impacts of planned change along with change impacts, change options and design documentation.
- Builds and maintains an awareness of emerging technology and business trends, identifying those that may be useful and sharing them with Senior Architects and other stakeholders; investigate opportunities where the potential is agreed.
- Solve design issues and challenges: Works within assigned programme/project(s) to deliver project Business Solution Designs for portfolio projects/programmes that are in line with the agreed Target Operating Model (TOM) and address scope or design issues, identifying key design decisions and progressing them to resolution, working collaboratively with business and IT colleagues and supports the translation of elements of the strategy into an implementation blueprint.
- Govern business design: Produces required documentation, including design impact assessment, by working closely with Architects, Analysts, programme and business stakeholders, ensuring deliverables into design governance forums are produced on time and highlighting any related business design risks, issues or dependencies. Validates that delivered solution meets target and ensure appropriate escalation where this is not achieved.
- Develop models and maintain the target and transition state operating models: Develops, agrees and maintains Business Architecture models, TOM, route map and other architectural assets such as process frameworks for assigned project/programme or domain based on stated strategy and objectives, working closely with business and IT colleagues through the life cycle stages to understand the change and its overall impact on the organisation across all dimensions.
- Illustrates the alignment between strategic goals, change objectives and key business decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain networks with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and support the delivery of projects and champions the Business Architecture function.
- People & Leadership: Takes responsibility for self-development, actively seeking feedback and responding accordingly.
- Risk: Continuously monitors projects for Business Architecture risk issues and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate.
