Business Architect

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Architect to join our client, a leading investment bank based in London

Key responsibilities of the Business Architect will include:
-Responsibility for architecture matters pertaining to the various Finance functions including definition of best practices, the target operating model and functional process maps.
-Definition and agreement of the scope and the interaction between the various functions is also integral to the role.
-The need to collaborate with line teams and their managers and with IT in order to be effective at implementing change that both addresses immediate control issues and moves towards Finance's target operating model and IT architecture
-To combine responsiveness to business driven change with the need to ensure that the change is appropriately budgeted, resourced and scheduled.

The ideal Business Architect will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Extensive business architecture, programme initiation, and business analysis experience, and knowledge of the Finance functions, including Product Control, Financial Control and Financial Reporting
-Self motivated, proactive and delivery focused, but who is also able to demonstrate strategic vision and a strong ability in problem solving.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be personable and good at building relationships with Controllers and with IT.
-Excellent analytical skills
-Detailed understanding of at least some investment banking products either from a valuation or accounting aspect.
