Job Mission

The Business Architect uses his/her deep knowledge of best-practices and broad experience in similar industries to facilitate the development of a vision, process architecture and project roadmaps for one or more sectors within our clients Operations (Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing & Quality).

Job Description

Vision development:

in close cooperation with his internal and external network members the Business Architect creates a vision on organization, culture, capabilities, key business, IT initiatives and the relationships between these aspects. This vision is based on our clients specific requirements and knowledge of best practices in external organizations. The Business Architect creates and maintains a repeatable approach for determining and closing gaps between the vision and actual performance. He/she creates and maintains stable, transparent vision documents and frameworks that serve as reference for current and future projects.

Vision realization:

by influence and drive acceptance of the vision. The Business Architect assesses changes needed in processes, people's behavior, IT support and organization. He/she inspires and influences stakeholders by thorough understanding of and acknowledging motives, positions and personal qualities. He/she defines change initiatives and projects on all aspects. He/she ensures realization of these projects: inclusion in project roadmaps, advice on project teams to be formed, inspire stakeholders to contribute, assist program managers, project leaders and project members in execution.

Implementing sustainable process changes:

identify required actions to support changes in processes, people's behavior, organization and IT. The Business Architects implements change by influencing behavior and driving (senior-) management decision making. He/she influences culture and company politics trough the network by at the same time understanding and challenging these aspects.

Educational/Experience Level

Master degree in technical area or business administration.

Over 10 years business experience in different roles in Operations including operational responsibilities, main focus on process improvement

Over 5 years experience in managing and realizing large change processes

Over 5 years experience with culture change and the soft aspects/people aspects of organisational development

Additional job-related knowledge and/or managerial experience: operational (hands-on) experience in planning, logistics, manufacturing and/or industrial engineering, (senior) management roles in operations (manufacturing, logistics, planning), project leader in operations improvement, knowledge of financial management, good knowledge of IT solutions without being an IT expert.Michael Bailey International is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
