For a project at our insurance client in Zurich, we are looking for a
BUSINESS AND DATA ANALYST - BIG DATA (5341)
Our client is looking to roll out a new data model for one of its core platforms. To support this endeavor, we are immediately looking for a Business Analyst with a focus on Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong BI/Analysis focus to guide the business and development teams (quant/big data developers) along this process.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- BACKGROUND IN WORKING FOR LARGE COMPANIES, IDEALLY WITHIN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY (ALTHOUGH THAT IS NOT A MUST HAVE CRITERION)
- EXPERIENCE IN DATA ANALYTICS, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE TOPICS WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING OR RENEWING EXISTING DATA MODELS
- Ability to read a code, to understand existing system behavior, and to make queries (OUR CLIENT USES SCALA AS A DEVELOPMENT LANGUAGE AND SPARK AS ANALYTICS ENGINE)
- Experience working with the business and developers and holding a coordination function
- Experience working on large and medium scale software projects
- Experience working with a diversified multi-location team
- Strong problem-solving skills & ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH
