BUSINESS ANALYST - URGENT - Risk and Finance - Business Analyst

The role is for a Business Analyst on the Risk and Finance Reporting team. In partnership with our key stakeholders across Risk and Finance, we work to create cutting-edge business solutions and aim to deliver strategic initiatives using our deep functional expertise. The role will be responsible for the analysis and delivery of various regulatory reporting initiatives across the bank's strategic infrastructure. Business analysis focusses on both area-specific and firm-wide projects that implement business process improvement and reporting solutions; this will initially be with a focus on Credit Risk Regulatory Reporting.

OVERVIEW
Analysis and documentation of current and future state business processes, with a focus on credit risk analysis.

Includes reviews of counterparties, collateral performance, loan covenants, risk concentrations, portfolio quality internal risk limits with a view on improving the front-to-back processes.

Develop business and functional requirements and present these in order to obtain timely sign-off by all respective parties

Actively participate in and contribute to all phases of the project life cycle.

Work closely with the users, line management, and IT groups throughout the various phases of the project

Apply project management methodologies including project plans, risk mitigation, issue tracking and communication plans

Establish strong working relationships and build partnerships with the Line and IT staff.

Document and assist in training of end users on new solutions

Delivery of business and system process change on a high profile project, as part of a multi-year strategic front to back change program (the Strategic Risk Program).

Leading UAT preparation, execution and managing issue resolution.

Define key success cases and participate in testing.

Opportunities to network across different functions within CFO/CRO

Supporting ongoing projects, BCBS, legal-entity risk initiatives, portfolio risk monitoring, exposure calculation and wrong-way risk analysis, and regulatory compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL
University degree (BA/BS minimum), majoring in Business
Administration, or degree with equivalent post qualification
5+ years of experience with investment banking products
3-5 years of experience within Risk Management;
Strong knowledge of Investment Banking business processes - front to back involvement
Strong attention to detail
Strong problem solving skills
Highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.

PREFERRED
Business Analysis experience
Previous participation in change management or process re-engineering team
Experience in dealing with senior management
Strong negotiating skills
Experience at a major investment or global commercial bank
Visualization and/or workflow management experience
