Business Analysts - Desktop + Application Consolidation - SYD

Our client is one of Australia's leading and largest Financial Services Organization that has expanded its operations beyond the Australian shores. The organization has a large range of financial offerings to both public and private clients across the retail, corporate and institutional banking areas. Currently, this organization is supporting 5000+ applications. They are looking to consolidate Legacy apps with a view to progressing towards vendor/cloud supported applications.

This position sits within a large center of excellence for business analysts that are continually re-deployed in a large program of works. The diverse team is multi-skilled, whilst they all display a firm understanding of BA methodologies for successful delivery, most are ITIL or IIBA certified. The team is the engine room that delivers resilient solutions to internal and external customers.

This role will require Business analysts with a strong formal toolkit to tangle a large application and operating system consolidation. The successful candidate will have a grasp of operational risk in relation to Legacy desktop environments and applications. Previous experience of replacing Legacy windows environments and associated evaluation of Legacy software in comparison to modern solutions will be highly regarded. The successful candidate will need excellent and communication skills and negation skills to deal with app owners across the business, and to solicit current requirements and future needs.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

- 3+ Years of Business Analysis Experience
- Experience evaluating and Consolidating Legacy applications and Desktop environments
- Formal BA Qualifications are a MUST (ITIL, IIBA, CAPM, SIX SIGMA)
- ITIL V3 Service Management and Best Practices Knowledge
- Experience performing GAP analysis
- Data Analysis Skills
- Understanding of Operational Risk
- Experience working in shared infrastructure at a large organization
- Innovative approach to the utilization of technology
- Understanding of end-user needs
- Full working rights for Australia
