Enterprise Applications (EA) provides the management and support framework of IT Business Systems that deliver and support services to all Australians. This extensive framework integrates the elements of applications management and also serves as a model to effectively deliver applications development outcomes.

EA supports a workforce of over 1500 people engaged in a broad and diverse range of activities relating to the design, delivery and management of the business systems that underpin the client's administrative and compliance platforms.

THE ROLE:

- conduct business analysis that identifies requirements
- document business requirements and develop technical solutions that support those requirements by working closely with business and other teams
- provide guidance on interpretation of business requirements and systems/technical documentation
- produce high and low-level business specifications that document business processes that model and specify the problem and design the solution, in collaboration with other production support or project team members
- identify system, development or support issues in collaboration with technical staff
- track, analyse and assist in the prioritisation of change requests or errors, risks and issues
- thoroughly assess impacts of change request or errors, and suggest solutions and mitigation strategies
- apply the client's design, system developments and maintenance methodologies
- conduct or assist in IT impact assessments and costings for applications projects
- interpret business requirements into applications systems design artefacts
- work as an effective team member or team leader; share knowledge and information with the team and help others meet team priorities .

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Previous government experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis, including exposure to requirements definition, large-scale systems development and/or production support, and delivery of IT solutions
- An understanding of, or the ability to quickly acquire, knowledge of the business with the ability to capture complex requirements and the systems and administrative process
- Demonstrated ability to translate requirements into specifications for IT solutions, and the ability to produce concise non-technical documentation
- Proven experience in the application of IT technical concepts needed to clarify business, data and process requirements
- Ability to identify function test scenarios, perform function testing and produce function test documentation
