Business Analyst with IFRS 9 in the Netherlands

BUSINESS ANALYST WITH IFRS 9 IN THE NETHERLANDS

My client, a globally recognised investment bank, is currently looking for and experienced Business Analyst with strong knowledge of IFRS9.

As the Business Analyst you will be the primary contact with our stakeholders and be responsible for identifying, modelling, documenting and prioritizing the functional and non-functional requirements of the business and business domain details.

You will represents customer and end-user concerns by gathering input from stakeholders to understand the problem to be solved and by capturing and setting priorities for requirements. Your primary working area is system and process improvement in the Risk domain.

The Agile/SCRUM way of working in the project requires a flexible attitude, to be innovative and to be able to work in a structured manner.

Main responsibilities: -
* You define systems and project scope/objectives through research, fact finding and elicitation with a solid understanding of business, systems, and requirements.
* You provide high impact (strategic and tactical) advice for the product owner.
* You participate in testing of applications against requirements.
* You develop and maintain knowledge of business analysis and business requirements.
* You continuously work to increase knowledge and to be familiar with best practices.
* You translate the required BI project work into user stories and ensure that these are ready for the development team to use as basis for development and testing.
* You work with business users to ensure they can understand the data model and can use it to meet their needs.

The Profile
* You are good at detecting, understanding and documenting customers' wishes and needs; responding and anticipating to this. You think from a customer's perspective and are aimed at realising customer value and improving service provision.
* You are able to relay requirements, ideas and opinions clearly, comprehensively and correctly (in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing). You have working knowledge of Use Case diagrams and Use Case specifications.
* You have extensive knowledge of and experience with wholesale and retail banking and ICT in general and credit risk in particular and a proactive eagerness to watch trends and developments within the domain to identify new business opportunities.
* You understand the benefits of continuous delivery and are able to convey these benefits to the product owner.
* You adopt, and help the business adopt, a continuous delivery mindset (increased focus on prioritisation, continuous grooming of backlog, etc.).
* You can facilitate a workshop.
* You know how to use your influencing skills when necessary.
* You know how to work with data.
* You understand the data (domain knowledge).
* You know how to model data.
* You are proficient with querying the data.
* You are able to conduct a business impact analysis and can act as a coach for junior business analysts.

Required experience (Must)
* 5-7 or more years' experience in risk management and regulatory reporting requirements/or
5-7 or more years' experience in business/data requirement analysis
* Knowledge of Basel 3 and IFRS9 is a plus
* Knowledge of SQL Server is a plus
* Knowledge of and experience with:
o Agile
o Data Vault
o SQL Server
o Data Architecture patterns
o BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
o Reporting tools (Tableau, Excel, SSRS)
