Business Analyst with Healthcare Experience

BUSINESS ANALYST, BEACON HILL Technologies is currently looking for a Business Analyst with experience in the Healthcare domain. This is an indefinite contract! 

SUMMARY:

What they are looking for is a bit of a Hybrid Role:

- This will be a BA position where the Consultant will do Analysis in HL7 and also be involved with any necessary fix that is needed. They will also be looking for trends.
- HL7 IS A BIG PLUS BUT NOT MANDATORY.
- They are willing to train on the technology if needed because it actually doesn't require a tremendous amount of previous experience with it, just STRONG BA EXPERIENCE.
- They may over time add additional responsibilities to the role also.
- This is in the integration area - so making sure the hospitals that they run/acquire are all on the same systems.

DAILY TASKS:

1.    Monitor pager (hospital pager) 7 AM - 5 PM for trouble tickets and call clients to resolve

2.    Coordinate with appropriate staff to resolve, refer when necessary

3.    Work with other business units to resolve issues

4.    Review interfaces in Epic Bridges® module and read HL7 messages to diagnose and fix issues

5.    Prepare weekly interface reports from text-based Epic Bridges Module

6.    Coordinate with other team members on issues as-needed

7.    You must appear at stand-up no later than 8:30 AM to report on issues to the entire department (THIS IS A MUST)

8.    Find ways to reduce errors/notate error trends

9.    Work with immediate supervisor to resolve issues

10.  Prepare e-mails to other business units of identified errors

11.  Follow up on former issues

12.  Monitor all deployments (East, Central, West) for issues

13.  Retrieve and enter data from website into tables (eg new doctor information)
