Business Analyst with a Background in Financial Risk (2664)

For a project at our banking client's site in Zurich, we are looking for a highly motivated

BUSINESS ANALYST WITH A BACKGROUND IN FINANCIAL RISK (2664)

The project is part of the Margin Rules Program (MRP) which is responsible to implement the local margin regulations for non-centrally cleared OTC derivatives following the BCBS/IOSCO recommendations. The new rules will require to process initial and variation margin for counterparties as specified in the legislations.

PROJECT SCOPE:
Collecting and posting initial and variation margin will require the adaption of processes and systems within credit risk management (CRM).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Anaylze the status-quo of CRM process and its IT infrastructure; identify and assess solutions to comply with the new BCBS/IOSCO rules in corporation with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Define business requirements, coordinate with SMEs and ensure sign-off of requirements by responsibles
- Act as an interface between Business and IT, support IT to develop the technical specification and drive the implementation of the requirements to ensure timely delivery
- Define and perform test cases based on the business requirements
- Support the project management by providing regular status reports
- Coordinate with international locations (no travelling expected)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Financial risk management (credit and/or market risk) background
- Collateral management and derivative know how
- Good understanding of risk management procedures and methodologies
- Knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- English as a must, German is a plus
- Abstract thinking, structured approach, very good communication and writing skills, perseverance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD ADDITIONALLY BRING THE FOLLOWING:

- Experience in one of the areas: FinfraG, EMIR, BCBS/ISOCO
- Wrong Way Risk experience
