For a six month project at our banking client site in Lausanne, we are looking for an experienced

BUSINESS ANALYST WITH A BACKGROUND IN CREDIT REPORTING AND EXTENSIVE BASEL III KNOWLEDGE (2743)

JOB SPECIFICATION

- Work with the Finance IT Team, business and technical architects to validate and implement the functional specifications and technical design of Basel III compliance requirements.
- Collaborate in and/or independently conduct detailed specifications of customer requirements, establish system specifications and technical designs. With the necessary technical skills participate in the implementation of these requirements.
- Collaborate in the migration, upgrade and testing of system integration interfaces and implemented application functionality.
- Assist in technical analysis, design, architecture, planning, development and support of applications and business requirements to adhere established standards and process and to ensure a smooth interoperability of the Basel III applications and environment.
- Tracking Implementation of new change requests related to FINMA requirements.
- Assist project manager during consolidation phase of any planning activities.
- Participate in all aspects of the project life cycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with company change control processes
- Create and maintain documentation on Back End user procedures, reports and data definitions
- Develop technical concepts, responsibility for implementing the required and specified requirements to the projects according to the standard solution delivery processes within our client
- Run acceptance tests in cooperation with Business
- Provide support documentations and checklists according to the system engineering standards of our client

THIS POSITION REQUIRES:

- Must have a banking/financial background and experience in one or more of these (Basel II/Basel III and or Financial Accounting experience)
- Understanding and experience working with and developing applications using databases environment.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of Regulatory Reporting/Capital Calculations/Treasury experience in financial industry.
- Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle (Waterfall; AGILE)
- Strong analytical skills to translate Business Requirements into Technical Terms
- A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- University and vocational school (university of applied sciences) degree in Information Technology, Business Systems Analysis or Systems Engineering

THE ROLE INVOLVES WORKING WITH PEOPLE GLOBALLY, INCLUDING LAUSANNE, ZURICH AND NEW YORK AND WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL BETWEEN ZURICH AND LAUSANNE.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

- DATAMODELLING AND METADATA MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
- EXPERIENCE WITH ANY REPORTING TOOLS, FOR EXAMPLE AXIOM, OBIEE, BRIO.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory) and German and or French (nice to have)
- Several years of proven experience of design and implementation of reporting solutions.
- Data Warehousing experience is an advantage.
