For a project at our banking client sited in Lausanne we are looking for an experienced

BUSINESS ANALYST WITH A BACKGROUND IN CREDIT REPORTING AND EXTENSIVE BASEL III KNOWLEDGE (2743)

In this position, you will work closely with the Credit IT Team, business and technical architects to validate and implement the functional specifications and technical design of Basel III compliance requirements.

FURTHER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING TASKS:
Collaborate in and/or independently conduct detailed specifications of customer requirements, establish system specifications and technical designs. With the necessary technical skills participate in the implementation of these requirements.
Collaborate in the migration, upgrade and testing of system integration interfaces and implemented application functionality
Assist in technical analysis, design, architecture, planning, development and support of applications and business requirements to adhere established standards and process and to ensure a smooth interoperability of the Basel III applications and environment
Tracking Implementation of new change requests related to FINMA requirements
Assist project manager during consolidation phase of any planning activities
Participate in all aspects of the project life cycle, following stringent rules and procedures for testing and promoting code in compliance with company change control processes
Create and maintain documentation on Back End user procedures, reports and data definitions
Develop technical concepts, responsibility for implementing the required and specified requirements to the projects according to the standard solution delivery processes within our client
Run acceptance tests in cooperation with Business and hand over to DWH operations and other support teams
Provide support documentations and checklists according to the system engineering standards of our client

TO FULFIL THESE TASKS YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
University and vocational school (university of applied sciences) degree in Information Technology, Business Systems Analysis (Wirtschaftsinformatik) or Systems Engineering
Understanding and experience working with and developing applications using databases environment
Minimum of 3-4 years of engineering experience in financial industry
Experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle (AGILE; usw.)
Data Warehousing experience that demonstrates strong analytical skills
A solid understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and experience working in an IT environment with rigorous change control procedures
Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills

The role involves working with people globally, including Lausanne, Zurich and New York.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Datamodelling and metadata management experience
EXPERIENCE WITH ANY REPORTING TOOLS, AS EXAMPLE AXIOM, OBIEE, BRIO
Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory) and German (would be a great advantage)
Working under tight timelines
The ability to steer things forward
Banking background/experience (BASEL II/BASEL III AND/OR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE)
Several years of proven experience of design and implementation of REPORTING SOLUTIONS
